Thank god the NYPD raided Zuccotti Park and saved us from these scourges of public health.
Right now in parks across Manhattan, the NYPD is confiscating books and breaking up groups of singers/musicians. Huge numbers of officers are being wasted on stopping non-existent threats and breaking up groups of non-violent protesters, while god knows how many actual crimes are being committed and ignored. How many Domestic Abuse calls are going unanswered at this very moment across my city because a couple of non-violent protesters are singing in Washington Square Park? The NYPD is going to have to work for a long, hard time to regain even a quantum of respect in this country.
Keep Calm and #OccupyLondon. Daniel McGowan, who took and submitted these photos of an #OccupyLSX (London Stock Exchange) rally, was impressed with the workings of the movement, saying: ”Right off the bat the event was well organized.”

Occupy Wall Street. These photos were taken at the large Foley Square rally on November 17th, which was declared a Day of Action by the Occupy movement. Police estimates put the turnout at around 32,500 people in New York. The shots above give an impression of that kind of incredible size.

Protesters from the Million Hoodie March knocked down the barricades that surrounded the Wall St bull since Occupy Wall Street started 6 months ago.
